For those looking for a bigger challenge, there are other ways to test yourself, including the Monkey Jump — a 12-metre jump from a platform. The rooms accommodate 2–6, 2–7 or 2–8 participants, depending on the scenario. All escape rooms are available in Spanish and English, so Game Over is also suitable for international visitors.
There is an important restriction for children and teenagers: participants under 14 must be accompanied by at least one adult in their group. Game Over is well suited to families, groups of friends and teenagers who want to spend an hour playing a team-based game without any physical exertion.
Prison Island Benalmádena — team challenges in a prison-cell format
Prison Island is located in Benalmádena, in Puerto Marina, around 20–25 minutes’ drive from Malaga. The idea of the game is to escape from “prison” by completing various challenges in individual cells. Unlike a classic escape room, however, there is no single room and no fixed sequence of puzzles: the team has access to an entire complex of 26 cells, each with a different challenge.
Participants form teams of 3–5 people and, within the allotted time, try to complete as many challenges as possible and score the maximum number of points. The challenges test logic, physical strength and agility, accuracy, technical skills and the ability to work as a team. If you fail a challenge, you can move on to another cell and return to it later.
Prison Island is particularly interesting for teenagers, adults and groups of friends who want to combine puzzles with physical and team challenges rather than simply solving riddles. Children under 15 must have at least one adult in their team. The game is available in several languages, including English.
The X-Door Málaga — three different escape room formats in the city centre
The X-Door Málaga is located in the city centre, at Calle Nueva, 13, and offers three different formats of team games. Los Años Oscuros is a mystery escape room based on a story about children who disappeared from a boarding school, while The Haunted Prison revolves around escaping from a cell after being falsely accused.
For larger groups, there is Venganza — a hall escape for groups of 4 to 20 people, where participants must defuse a bomb by solving puzzles and completing team challenges. This means you can choose either a classic escape room for a small team or a larger-scale game for a bigger group.
🏎️ Karting in Malaga and nearby
Karting is one of the most popular activities for older children, teenagers and adults. There are several karting tracks near Malaga, suitable both for short sessions and for more active leisure with friends or family.
Kart&Fun Málaga — karting near Plaza Mayor
Kart&Fun Málaga is located near the Plaza Mayor shopping centre and IKEA, not far from the airport. It is a karting track designed like a city street, with straight sections and bends, and all sessions are timed — you can compete against other participants or try to improve your own result.
There are karts for different ages and experience levels: children's karts from the age of 5, junior karts, adult karts and more powerful models for experienced drivers. Children can also ride in a two-seater kart with an adult driver. The track is illuminated in the evening, so sessions can also take place after sunset.
Karting Experience Mijas — karting near Fuengirola and Mijas
Karting Experience Mijas is located on the border between Fuengirola and Mijas, in the Las Lagunas area. The open-air track is around 900 metres long, combining straight sections and bends, and is suitable both for first-time drivers and those who are already familiar with karting.
Adult, junior and two-seater karts are available, so you can drive independently or together with a child. You can come for a standard session or organise a race for a group of friends or family.
Karting Experience Mijas is particularly convenient for those staying in the Mijas and Fuengirola area who want to add a little speed and competition to their beach holiday.
KartCenter Campillos — a large racing circuit about an hour from Malaga
KartCenter Campillos is located in the town of Campillos, around an hour’s drive from Malaga. This is no longer a small recreational karting track, but a full-scale international circuit measuring 1,580 metres in length and covering more than 120,000 m², certified by CIK/FIA.
On the main track, you can choose karts of different power levels: standard karts are available from the age of 14 and reach speeds of up to 85 km/h, more powerful karts are available from 16 (up to 95 km/h), while 2-stroke racing karts are strictly for adults aged 18 and over (up to 110 km/h). For participants aged 10 to 13 who are at least 1.30 m tall, special junior karts are available, which are also allowed on the main track during dedicated sessions. Campillos is therefore suitable for families with older children, but this karting centre is not suitable for children under 10.
KartCenter Campillos is interesting for anyone who wants to experience the difference between ordinary karting and a genuine racing circuit: there are long straights, fast corners and changes in elevation, while competitions and group sessions are also held regularly.
